The mission of the aeronautical meteorology for the civil aeronautical industry is to support the flight dispatch during planning stage. It is also one of the most significant information for a flight plan, which maintains flight safety in the negative aspect. However, it can contribute to the cost-effectiveness of airline operations, such as avoiding transfers, fuel savings, flight scheduling and scheduling, etc, in the positive aspect. Since the weather minimum during landing of an aircraft are often higher than during taking off, and the landing minimum at an airport selected as an alternate is higher than that being a main station, the meteorological management for aviation focuses first on understanding the weather changes at the station, including visibility, crosswind, low cloud ceiling (visual flight rule or instrumental flight rule). Besides, the significant meteorological  information (SIGMET) also plays a very important role in the meteorological management for aviation connecting with the issue of the Extended-range Twin-engine Operation Performance Standards (ETOPS). On the issue of climatic risks, the aeronautical industries are encountering challenges such as extreme climate, carbon regulation, low-carbon services and goodwill, as well as response to the new technology and new energy.
